At Colorectal Wellness Center in Atlanta, education is just as important as treatment. That philosophy led colorectal surgeon Dr. Erin King-Mullins to launch a new digital series designed to change the way women talk about colorectal and pelvic health: The Love Below.
The Love Below is an ongoing educational series featuring candid conversations with physicians and specialists who are passionate about improving women’s health. Through YouTube episodes and social media discussions, the series explores topics many women experience but rarely feel comfortable discussing openly — including hemorrhoids, pelvic floor changes, postpartum concerns, digestive health, and colorectal cancer prevention.
Why Conversations About Women’s Colorectal Health Matter
Across the United States — and right here in Atlanta — many women live quietly with colorectal and pelvic health symptoms that significantly affect their quality of life. Issues such as hemorrhoids, fissures, pelvic floor disorders, and postpartum changes are extremely common, yet many patients delay care due to embarrassment or the assumption that these conditions are simply a normal part of aging.
Dr. King-Mullins created The Love Below to help remove the stigma surrounding these conversations. By bringing together trusted physicians from multiple specialties, the series helps patients understand that these concerns are medical conditions that deserve expert attention.
A Collaborative Approach to Women’s Health
One of the unique aspects of The Love Below series is the collaborative format. Each episode features respected physicians and specialists discussing different aspects of women’s health — from digestive wellness and pelvic floor disorders to hormonal health and preventative care.
Featured and upcoming guests include:
- Dr. Earl Campbell – Social Media fan favorite Gastroenterologist
- Dr. Fenwa Milhouse – Urologist and nationally recognized sex health and pelvic health educator
- Dr. Lissa Bootstaylor – The Body Snatcher, plastic surgeon to the stars
- Dr. Soyini Hawkins – OBGYN and fibroid & endometriosis specialist focused on women’s wellness
- Dr. Mitzi Joi Williams – “The Nerdy Neurologist” and MS expert
And many more! Join us and bring your questions!
By bringing together experts from gastroenterology, urology, gynecology, and colorectal surgery, The Love Below highlights the importance of a team-based approach to women’s pelvic and digestive health.
